Washington is closely monitoring the situation in these countries of the Black Continent where it continues to provide humanitarian assistance to millions of lives in danger. According to Donald Trump, his country believed that the real solution to halting these disasters required a peace process, led by Africans themselves and a truly sincere commitment by all concerned.

The President of the United States of America has also recognized the enormous commercial potential in Africa.

On this occasion, the Guinean president, Alpha Condé, discussed the situation in Africa. He stressed the need for free elections in the DRC:

"As regards Congo Kinshasa, the UN Secretary-General has sent a mission to the Congo. We have agreed and we have taken a joint initiative, the African Union - United Nations. For the time being, we are not going to talk about it publicly. We hope that it will be a good result for there to be free and transparent elections. "
