RDC: Une option militaire est déjà en place sur le plan régional si Kabila déposait sa candidature (Bob Kabamba)*

In an interview with Radio France Internationale, Bob Kabamba, Professor of Political Science at the University of Liege, spoke on various current issues in the DRC, including the postponement of the visit of the Secretary General of the United Nations (UN).

Bob Kabamba thinks that this refusal to receive Antonio Guteress is an admission of not wanting to answer the taboo questions in the presidential majority, especially on his participation in the next presidential elections, the consensus around the voting machine.

Answering the question about the reaction of the international community and the United States to a possible candidacy of Joseph Kabila, Bob Kabamba indicates that the option of a military intervention on Congolese soil is already clearly defined to restore the constitutional order .

"At the level of the African Union it goes without saying that when there is a coup d'état or a reversal of the constitutional order, there is always an option asking member countries to intervene to restore constitutional order" Bob Kabamba.

This researcher on the political issues of the DRC indicates that other options include a transition without Kabila for the organization of elections or a popular revolt following the various calls from the street that may follow a candidacy of Joseph Kabila, which  has not yet announced the name of its dolphin while the international community requires him to remove the ambiguity on his non-representation in the next election.
